Late Ramesh Somchand Shah
12 November 1946 – 1 September 2024
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Ramesh Somchand Shah at the age of 77.
Devoted husband to Jyoti.
Loving father and father-in-law of Sujal & Pratik and Vishal & Meera.
Doting grandfather to Millie, Ria, Loki and Bodhi.
Son of the late Puriben and late Somchand Keshavji Shah. Son-in-law of Devkurben and the late Dhirajlal Devraj Shah.
Brother and brother-in-law to the late Maganbhai, late Muktaben & late Chaganbhai, late Hansaben & late Bhagwanjibhai, Jayanti and Niru & Rajni.
He was also brother-in-law to the late Kiran and Kashmira & Bharat.
He was born in Eldoret, Kenya where he lived until the age of 23 before moving to Mumbai and then Jamnagar for six years, after which he settled in Winchmore Hill, London.
Dad was the most loving and devoted father, husband, brother, nana and dada that we could ever have hoped for. He always made the most of life, was exceptionally hard working, loved to travel, watch cricket and play cards. He will be forever remembered for his beautiful smile, kind and gentle nature, but most of all, his resilience and strength until the very last breath. Although he leaves a gaping hole in our lives, he will forever remain by our side and in our thoughts, continuing to guide us in our lives.
