50+ luncheon and Bhakti with Jayeshbhai and friends
On Sunday 20th October 2019 Shakti Centre had the pleasure in hosting another 50+ event for members which is only possible because members are kind enough to donate to the annual £120 scheme.
The weather is turning cold out there but you would not have thought so if you were inside the centre. Jayeshbhai as always is entertaining but this time a few of our members joined him on stage to sing the melodies of our BHAKTI with explanations from Jayeshbhai.
We were fortunate enough to have a few trustees attend the event and let us know what is happening in the OSHWAL Centre for Diwali and the progress on the DERASAR. Talking about the DERASAR there is going to be DWAR opening ceremony for the re-furbished DERASAR, come along and buy a ticket from Keshubhai, tickets are only £10, and you never know you might be holding the lucky ticket to open the doors. This is an amazing opportunity which will not come around again.
Luncheon was served with Diwali in mind and we are very grateful to the anonymous donors who donated £110 towards the food (KHUSHI BHET). Tea and Biscuits were also served. Jyotiben and Jaysukbhai had specially prepared the biscuits before they flew off to see family abroad and they were missed.
A special thank-you to the fabulous volunteers who were there early in the morning to prepare the food. The community spirit of OSHWALS never ceases to amaze me and being involved is a great satisfaction that no one can imagine.
