The annual North West Year End Party (Picnic) was held on 1st July. Having witnessed a wonderful summer so far, the hopes of day full so sunshine was on the cards and for the 3rd year the Picnic was extremely well participated with a number of 295.
The day started at 9am for the volunteers and after a small hiccup in getting in it was full hands on board. The gazebo was put up, the giko’s were ready and all other food laid out. The games team marked out their boundaries.
Good menu consisted of pizza, garlic bread, masala and normal chips, corn on the cob, coleslaw & salad drowned by passion juice, vimto or water and followed by water melon.
All participants arrived from 12 pm and food was served till 2 pm. After 2 pm everyone was allocated a group to join the games sessions. The finally was finished with ice cream straight from the ice cream van.
Everyone had a wonderful time despite the extremely hot weather but most were cooled off with water fights. We look forward to next year!
