Our second Family Social Evening was held on the 17th July 2019 being the 3rd Wednesday of the month.
Following on from the success of the event in June, everyone was eager to register and join us for more fun and socialising with friends and family. Our catering team prepared a Thai dinner for us all to enjoy. This was probably the first time that we have cooked Thai food at one of our events and everybody thoroughly enjoyed the welcome drink followed by a sumptuous meal.
We followed that up with a round of Bingo with everyone partaking in the event. We even had 2 very young helpers distributing the Bingo tickets and pens ensuring that everyone took part. We thank them for their assistance as well as our Bingo master – Bharat H Shah.
Next month, we have had to change the date slightly due to Paryushan festival and the Family Social Evening will take place on Tuesday 20 August – yes, it is a Tuesday. We are planning on a Gujarati Thali dinner as it is just 5 days after the Indian Independence Day. Let’s celebrate the evening with everyone donning on their best Gujarati outfits.
Yet again everyone complimented the team on providing a wonderful evening with delicious food and an enjoyable evening spent with fellow oshwals. Everybody also complimented the team on not using single use plastic plates and cutlery for the event. We intend to continue using steel plates and cutlery for these events.
