Late Arunkant Amritlal Raishi Shah
(27 November 1937 – 8 February 2024)
It is with profound sorrow, that we announce the death of Mr Arunkant Amritlal Shah, born in Nairobi and latterly lived in London, on Thursday 8 February 2024.
Arunkant was the son of late Zaverben and late Amritlal Raishi Shah.
Devoted Husband of Champa, daughter of late Monghiben and late Meghji Fulchand Shah.
Loving Father of Apoorva and Shivani.
Beloved Brother (Brother-in-law) of Late Rashmikant (Rasikbala), Shirish (Gita) and Saryoo (Narendra).
Beloved Brother-in-law of Indu (Arvind), Shashi (Gita) and Kundan (Kiran)
He was a much-loved kaka, mama, masa, fuva, dada and nana of many nephews, nieces, grand-nephews and grand-nieces on both sides of the family.
Arunkant was a friend and confidant to many. He helped in the framing of the economic path of early independent Kenya. He was a writer, who recorded the achievements and contributions of many of the pioneers of the Visa Oshwal community in Kenya. His legacy will inspire us all.
