Late Jyotsna (Jyoti) Harish Wason

It is with profound sorrow that we announce our beloved Jyotsna (Jyoti) Harish Wason passed away peacefully at her home in London on 8th March 2024.
Jyotsna was born in Chela (India) and lived in Nairobi, Meru and Nakuru (Kenya) and in London during her life. She was a trailblazer in all aspects of her life – following her own path with confidence and determination. She was educated in Kenya, India and Germany. She had a passion for teaching, which she did for many years both in Kenya and in the UK. She was also a respected business woman, having set up and run numerous ventures with Harish. She was a brilliant and captivating story-teller and could hold an audience for hours with her witty and inspiring tales. She had a gift of bringing light, laughter and fun to all who knew her.
She will be dearly missed.
Jyotsna was married to late Harish Kundanlal Wason.
She was the loving mother of Rajeev, Sanjeev and Anjali
and grandmother of Aanya and Leela.
She was mother-in-law of Jody, Jonathan and Hirsh.
She was the daughter of late Somchand Meghji Khimasia and late Jiviben (Chandaria).
She was the daughter-in-law of late Kundanlal Wason and late Vimla (Nayar).
She was the sister of late Mulchandbhai (late Amratben), late Manjuben (late Zaverchandbhai), late Kantaben (late Shantilalbhai), late Ramnikbhai (late Ansuyaben), late Keshavlalbhai (Sushiben), late Mahendrabhai (Anjuben).
She was a cherished Faiba and Masi to so many.
She was a friend, colleague and teacher to many at Barnet Southgate College.
Joma, as she was affectionately known, was a truly dear friend to so many whose lives she touched across the years and across the globe.

Funeral will take place at: St Marylebone Crematorium
East End Road, Finchley, London, N2 0RZ
Date and time: Friday 15th March 2024. 3pm UK time.
