It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Amritlal Jivraj Shah (Babubhai) on 28th March 2024.
Born on 30th September 1939 in Makindi (near Thika), Kenya.
Formally of East African Drapers Ltd, Nairobi and lately Top-Op Foods Ltd, London.
He was son of Late Jivraj Mepa and Late Lilaben Jivraj Shah, and son-in-law of Late Meghji Govindji and Late Valiben Meghji Shah.
Devoted husband of Shardaben Amritlal Shah
Beloved Father to Dipti Dipak Shah & Late Nishit Shah, and Father-in-law to Dipak Shah.
Doting Grandfather to Pari and Sonu.
He was brother and brother-in-law to Late Harakhchand (Bachubhai) and Vimlaben, Manjulaben and Late Dilipkumar, Late Bhanumati and Liladhar, Babu (Shashi) and Gulzar, Dalipkumar and Jyoti, Late Vanita and Harakhchand, Raxa and Mahilesh.
He was brother-in-law to Late Rambhaben (Late Hemrajbhai), Narabdaben (Late Lakhamshi), Late Lalitaben (Jayantilal), Late Ratilal (Bhikhubhai) Meghji (Kanchanben), Shantilal Meghji (Late Jaya), Jyot Haria (Late Kanti Haria)
He was blessed to be uncle to many nephews and nieces during his life.
Always friendly and full of life, he was loved by his entire family and friends.
Babubhai will be dearly missed.
Whilst he is physically away from us, he will never be forgotten, and our memories of him will remain with us eternally.
