It is with deep sorrow that we announce the sad passing away of Kasturbai Panachand Mepa Shah of London.
Loving wife of the Late Panachand Mepa Shah.
Born in Chela, India she was the daughter of the Late Hirji Jivraj Karania and Late Jiviben Hirji Karania.
Daughter-in-law of Late Mepa Shamat Shah & Late Jasma Mepa Shah
Loving mother/mother-in-law of Late Amrital, Vasanti & Late Jatish, Suna & Mahesh, Late Vipul & Late Mina, Kiran, Satish, Dina & Harshad, Avni & Avi, Milan & Parul, Sangeeta & Russ, Kalpana & Paul, Aarti & Tom.
Doting grandmother to Dipen & Harshini, Rikesh & Harsha, Sheya, Cameron, Shaan, Aaran, Anya, Mir, Daniel, Jasmine & Daisy.
Great grandmother to Sejal, Veeran, Thiyana & Kris.
Sister to Late Amaratben, Late Mohanbhai, Late Lilavantiben Hemraj Bid, Late Santaben Premchand Bid, Late Induben Lalji Haria, Late Jyantilal, Late Kanchenben Raichand Gudka, Late Ramnikbhai, Pushpaben Gulabchand Maru and Late Kantibhai.
She was also the sister-in-law to Late Laljibhai, Govindjibhai and Viraben.
Baa had an undeniable passion for life’s simplest pleasures, and nothing made her happier than gathering the family every Friday night. She was caring and loving, and no one that entered her home went without being fed (a lot). Highlands Gardens was a home for everyone that came by and her love for her family and friends was unmatched by anything except her love for ice cream.
She had a crazy sense of humour, and her mischievous smile after waking us all up at 3am with a phone call to her friends will never be forgotten. Though she was stubborn, Baa’s unrelenting independence was truly inspiring, and this was epitomised by her trying to escape her hospital bed right until the very last day.
She lived her life to the fullest and was a proud and loving wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, sister, auntie, and friend.
She leaves behind an unforgettable legacy, which will be remembered by all dearest to her.
May her soul get Sadgati and attain Moksh.
