Saturday 19th September 2026: At Oshwal Centre - From 9.00am -Assisting with food preparation and helping to prepare the marquee, including setting up tables, equipment, and other items. Sunday 20th September 2026: At Oshwal Centre -Duties to be allocated. Volunteer Duty Option A (Sunday 20th September 2026 at Oshwal Centre)Please select two volunteer duty options from this section. Please note: Priority for these volunteer duties will be given to children and young people aged 12–17 years. Marquee Marshal - From 11.00am to 4;00pm - Assisting guests within the marquees, helping to manage the clearance of plates, cutlery, and drinking water, ensuring serving areas remain tidy and well stocked, and providing general assistance to visitors throughout the event. Parking Marshal - From 8.30am to 4.30pm - Assisting with vehicle parking, directing drivers to available parking spaces, helping to maintain a safe and orderly flow of traffic, and providing general assistance to visitors arriving at and leaving the venue. Please note: This role is physically active and is therefore particularly suitable for volunteers aged under 30 years. Food Runner & All Rounder - From 9.00am to 5.00pm - Assisting wherever help is most needed throughout the day. This may include transporting food to serving stations, replenishing supplies, supporting different volunteer teams, moving equipment, and undertaking a variety of general duties as directed by the event organisers. Please note: This is a physically active role requiring a reasonable level of fitness and is particularly suitable for volunteers aged under 30 years. Reduced Mobility Support Volunteer (L V Hall) - From 11.00am to 3.30pm - Assisting guests with reduced mobility by serving food and refreshments, offering general assistance, and helping to ensure they have a comfortable and enjoyable experience throughout the event. Food Serving & Post-Samvantsari Clear-Up - From 11.00am to 5.00pm - Assisting with serving food to guests during the Samvantsari event, replenishing serving stations as required, and helping with the clearing, cleaning, and packing away of equipment and materials after the event. Please note: Priority for this volunteer role will be given to children and young people aged 12–17 years. Crowd Control Marshal - From 10.00am to 4.00pm - Assisting with the safe movement of people around the venue, guiding visitors to the appropriate areas, helping to manage queues and crowd flow, and providing general assistance to ensure the event runs safely and smoothly. I also understand that, whilst OAUK will endeavour to allocate a role to every registered volunteer, this may not always be possible due to operational requirements.
