Late Niru (Nirmala) Chandrakant Shah
(13th April 1945 – 8th October 2022)
Born in Nairobi. Resident in Nairobi and Thika prior to taking residence in London, UK in 1974
It is with great sadness that we inform you that Mrs. Nirmala Chandrakant Shah has passed away at the age of 77 in London, on 8th October 2022.
She was the daughter of the late Maniben Vaghji Shah and late Vaghji Pethraj Shah, and the daughter-in-law of the late Virmatiben Khetshi Shah and late Khethshi Nathoo Shah.
Niru was the beloved wife of late Chandrakant Khetshi Shah. She was mother to Rajesh and Sonal, mother-in-law to Arti and Ajay. Beloved grandmother to Yana and Leya.
She was the sister/sister-in-law to Bhiku(Liladhar & Sudha of Toronto, Mradula & Shantilal (“Tiki”) of Nairobi, and Surendra & Alice DeNormandie of Lincoln, Massachusetts.
She was sister-in-law to Bharti & Kantilal of Montreal, Vipool & Rekha of London, and Smita & Kuntesh of Toronto.
Beloved aunt to Anish & Nirmal of Toronto, Sanju & Sabita of London, Rakesh & Hetal of Toronto, Rajen and Stacy of Pleasantville, NY and Serena & Ariel of Arlington, Massachusetts; Reena and Chetan, Meera and Sagar, Maya and Yogesh, Amit and Farhana all of London, Rayna and Riya of New York and Boston respectively.
Nirmala was surrounded by her immediate family, nephew & spouse and her brother. She will always remain in our hearts and we will always cherish the happiness she brought to all of us.
