Another Eggscuse For Chocolate
There was a sense of excitement in the air at ReActive8 youth club at the last session of the term on 23rd March. The children were getting ready for their Easter break and exchanging news on what they were looking forward to in the holidays as they started the session.
The under 8s showed good form during their strength and stamina session through individual running, hopping, lunging and side stepping drills. They mastered their hand eye obstacle course – leaping across the hurdles, crossing the ladder, getting through the hoop and aiming the bean bags into a bucket in a combination of precision and speed. A new team building game of human shapes – children forming letters or numbers in pairs with their bodies – enabling them to communicate, strategise, coordinate and perform. A great way to make new friends too!
A few team games later, their grand finale of an Easter Egg lucky dip from the ReActive8 Team was picked by each to enjoy during the Easter Holiday. In happy spirit members left with an Easter treat.
We look forward to starting the next term re-energised.
