Debate and fresh mango ras at June 2017’s EMM

The Elderly Monthly Meet (EMM) at Ekta Centre was held on 10th June 2017 which was attended by 286 people for lunch.

The menu of FRESH MANGO RAS was a hit and thoroughly enjoyed by everyone as well as the gota bhajias. We are very grateful to the sponsors for supplying all the mangoes for ras. The volunteers worked tirelessly over three days to make sure that we delivered the Ras as requested by the sponsors.

We received a lovely appreciation note from the sponsors as follows:

My wife and I would like to thank you and your team for providing such a good meal to some 300 guests. I had not realised how much effort was put in squeezing pulp out of the mangoes. It was really good to see how much people enjoyed the mango pulp. We both appreciate what you have done. Thank you one again.

For entertainment, we had a debate on ‘JOINT FAMILY VERSUS NUCLEAR FAMILY’.

We would like to thank the four panelist Sushilaben Laxman Shah, Sushilaben Chandravadan Shah, Anjanaben Satish Shah and Varshaben Jayesh Gudka who accepted the challenge.

We had very nice comments from the panelists who enjoyed the challenge. Below is the comments received from Varshaben:

“I would like to thank you for giving me the opportunity to be the part of the panel in today’s debate.

I hope all the audience were engaged in the discussion and would like the feedback of this show.

Also hats off to all the people in the catering team for their selfless service and dedication!
They all work really hard to give satisfaction to the senior citizens.

Please do send them our appreciations.

Keep up the good work!

“I am surprised by humanity. Because a man sacrifices his health in order to make money.
Then he sacrifices money to recuperate his health. And then he is so anxious about the future that he does not enjoy the present;

the result being that he does not live in the present or the future;

he lives as if he is never going to die, and then dies having never really lived.” – Dalai Lama

Best wishes

We also appreciate all the support we get from all the volunteers. Without their dedicated selfless hard work they do we would not be able to deliver such programmes.

Photos coming soon.
