DIWALI AND NEW YEAR’S CELEBRATION 2016

East Area celebrated a successful Diwali and New-Year’s festival at Canon Palmer School on 28th October 2016 with an attendance of 140 members.
The program started with a prayer and a minute silence for peace on earth.
The highlights of the event included…
- A play by the elderly members of the Thursday Club and was about why we celebrate Diwali.
- Anya Hiten Shah (aged 14) played two Bollywood songs on the violin.
- A “garba” by the Thursday Club (presented by the elderly members of Thursday Club). East area would like to thank Avni in training all for the this.
To end the evening, a tasty meal of hot meal was provided. The event was thoroughly enjoyed by all the members.
