Halloween Kids Party @Shakti Centre

On a spooky Saturday afternoon, the West Area Youth Sub Committee organised an under-twelve’s Halloween themed party. The event attracted over thirty children with the youngest being six months old! Every child was dressed to impress in a scary fancy dress costume and many of the accompanying parents also got into the spirit with equally scary outfits!

The event comprised of various fun and exciting activities including a bespoke Halloween themed cookie decoration station, a wart on the witch game, hoopla with a witches hat, Pass the Parcel, a scary group photo, a themed lunch and an impressive tutorial by Sarith who taught the children how to bust a move to Michael Jackson’s infamous Thriller dance!

Each child showcased all their different skills and amazing talents including their impressive creativity, design, team work, accuracy, dance, as well as their ability to publicly speak and announce their name, their age, and what they were dressed as. Everyone had so much fun and laughter and the children were further chuffed to leave the event with a Halloween themed goodie bag!

I would like to take the opportunity to thank the youth subcommittee (Arti, Nimita, Sarith, Rishma, Prakash) for their efforts in making this event happen and also the support of Daxaben, Shejalben, Kiritbhai and team for their assistance in the food preparation – it was absolutely delicious!

Once again thank you to everyone who attended and supported this event, and appreciate the ongoing support for the Youths of West Area!
