Jainism and World Peace

Date and Time: Sunday 7th June – 3pm to 5pm

Location – Ekta centre, Kingsbury ( Open to all areas and all ages) – especially encourage children, young adults and families.

A basic and ancient Jain concept of the 4 bhavnas and how to interact with others and strengthen our inner being.

Maitri ( Friendship), Pramod ( appreciation), Karuna ( compassion), madhyasta (neutrality). Our Jain childrens choir will sing this beautiful song, and 4 children/youths will share short devotional prayers interspersing 4 stories, one for each of the 4 bhavnas.

All ages are welcomed to attend this face to face event to explore the internal thinking which is a core part of our faith through music and storytelling. The link below is an extended version of the first story we will explore related to maitri (friendship) to all beings and its karmic consequences exploring themes like Reincarnation, and power of hidden good deeds.

One Act of Compassion Echoed Across Lifetimes
