“Jambo Habari Gani Mzuri Sana”
West Area’s greatly awaited event of the year, the Kenyan Nite took place on Saturday 25th November 2017 and was a huge success! We’ve never seen the Shakti Centre so filled. Members attended in traditional Kenyan attire, creating a lovely array of colours and patterns across the Centre.
There were some interesting conversations in Swahili.
Tables were set up with many big city names which included Nairobi, Mombasa, Kisi, Nyeri, Nakuru and many more.
CHAKULA was served with traditional palate in mind.
Traditional OGALI, Sukuma Wiki and Githeri being served.
The guests were treated to traditional Kenyan songs and great Indian songs by a wonderful group Rekha Kataria and team and rocked the centre beyond midnight.
There was an amazing raffle as well, where all the prizes were donated.
2nd prize Spa voucher for 2 was won by Kinti Vimal Shah (West Area)
3rd prize Smoothie maker won by Rasula Pravin Shah (North West Area) donated by Mayur Shah (Sonia Estates)
4th prize His and Her Bath set Gift was won by Sumi Rashmi Haria (West Area).
