Late Amritlal Amulakh Mehta
Age 95
It is with a heavy heart and sadness that we announce the passing away of our beloved father Amritlal Amulakh Mehta, husband of late Jaya Aruna Amritlal Mehta, on 24th March 2026.
Amritlal was born in Lalpur, Gujarat, spent his childhood in India, ran a business in Kampala, Uganda, then came to UK and settled in New Malden, Surrey. He had a varied and active work life until his retirement, when he started travelling to India and beyond.
Being with and supporting extended family was an integral part of his life, his presence brought together the loving support we all share.
He was an avid sports fan, and in particular his passion was cricket – India matches were a non-negotiable event!
He passed away peacefully and was an inspiration to the Mehta & Dodhia families. His calm presence, direction and resilience will be dearly missed by all.
He was a devout son, husband, brother, father, grandfather, great grandfather to:
