Our dad was a gentle, warm hearted, larger than life, and extremely happy gentleman. He embraced everyone with a polite greeting and a beaming smile that not only lit up a room but made people feel welcomed and at ease. Despite suffering from dementia over the last few years, he did not stop living life and he enjoyed occasions that allowed him to socialise and reminisce the ‘good old days’. He was generous to a fault with his time and hospitality towards all he met. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who adored and spoilt his five beautiful granddaughters equally.
We will miss our dad beyond words can express and he will forever remain in our hearts.
