It is with deep regret we announce the death of Mrs. Dhamlaxmi (Gauri) Amritlal Haria (Gaam – Khirasara) on Tuesday, 10/03/2026 in Nairobi, Kenya.
She was Daughter of late Lalji Nathoo Chandaria and late Jiviben.
She was Daughter-in-law of late Keshavji Nongha Haria and late Paniben.
She was Wife of late Amritlal Keshavji Nongha Haria, M.A.A.K.(A), RIBA, Architect
She was Mother of Parina Amritlal Haria and Belha Amritlal Haria
She was Mother-in-Law of Philip James Skuse
She was Sister and Sister-in-Law of late Zaverchand Lalji & late Maniben (Nairobi), late Somchand Lalji & late Lalitaben (Nairobi), late Shantilal Lalji & late Kasturben (Nairobi), late Bhagwanji Lalji & late Lilawantiben (UK), late Chandulal Lalji & late Shantaben (Nairobi), Ramesh Lalji (UK), late Narmadaben & late Zaverchand Lakhamshi (UK), late Sumatiben & late Nemchand Virpal (Nairobi)
She was Sister-in-Law of late Hirji Keshavji & Taraben (UK), Kantaben & late Velji Rajpar (UK), late Chandulal Keshavji & Naliniben (UK), Ramaben (Madhu) & late Chandulal Popatlal (UK), Sarojben & Jatinkumar Chandulal (Mombasa)
She was Grandmother of Ashwina Belha Haria-Skuse and Rajesh Philip Haria-Skuse.
She was favourite Aunt of many nieces and nephews.
She was a former teacher at Visa Oshwal Primary School, Nairobi.
Gauriben was always smiling and her presence lit up the room. She made friends easily and you could always count on her to offer kind words of encouragement and wisdom. She conducted herself with grace and honour and her courage and resilience was an inspiration to everyone. She enjoyed tending to her garden and was an avid reader. Ashwina and Rajesh were her pride and joy and she always took great delight in their achievements. May this great soul continue on its journey towards eternal peace.
The final respects will take place on Saturday 14/03/2026 at 9:00am to 10:00am at Oshwal Centre, Ringroad Parklands, Nairobi.
The Cortege will leave for the Crematorium at 10:00am and cremation will take place at 10:30am at the Hindu Smashan Bhumi, Kariokor.
Meeting the family will be held on Saturday 14/03/2026 at Oshwal Centre, Ringroad Parklands, Nairobi from 7:00pm 8:00pm followed by prayers at 8:00pm.
