A beacon of wisdom and kindness, our dad, Dilip was not only an exceptional doctor but also an extraordinary person. He was a man of remarkable intellect, characterized by an insatiable curiosity and a lifelong passion for learning. His quiet demeanour and few words spoke volumes, revealing his thoughtfulness, humility, and a profound sense of care for everyone around him. Always ready to lend a helping hand, he touched countless lives with his generosity and selflessness.
He was a beloved GP having looked after multiple generations of families in his own practice and he continued to work after retirement. His death will be a massive loss to the community.
His main aspiration in life was to be a good dad and role model to us and he surpassed that goal on so many levels. He worked tirelessly to give us absolutely everything we could possibly want or need, never denying us anything. He was an inspiration to both of us, pushing us to be our best selves and we are both so proud to be his daughters.
Despite his unparalleled achievements, Dilip never gloated, choosing instead to let his actions speak for him. His dedication to his craft, patients, and loved ones was unwavering. He leaves behind a legacy of compassion, integrity, and excellence that will continue to inspire all who knew him.
My father often spoke with awe about my mother’s extraordinary talents with us. Her ability to weave words into poetry and songs with such speed and clarity left him profoundly inspired. It wasn’t just the fact that she could write so effortlessly—it was the depth and beauty she brought to her creations. Each note she composed and every lyric she penned seemed to flow from a boundless well of creativity, capturing emotions and stories in ways that resonated deeply with him. He was comforted by her music and fell asleep listening to her singing every night. Theirs was a match made in heaven and one day they will meet again.
