It is with deep regret that we announce the death of Mrs. Hansaben Ashok Velji Shah, formerly teacher of Visa Oshwal Nursery School – Nairobi, on Tuesday 10th February 2026 in Nairobi, Kenya.

She was Daughter of Late Dahiben and Late Lakhamshi Pethraj Shah.

She was Daughter-in-law of Late Kasturben and Late Velji Karamshi Chandaria.

She was Wife of Ashok Velji Shah of Chandaria Brothers Ltd. – Nairobi.

She was Sister of Late Rekhaben (Late Vershi), Late Harilal (Late Sushilaben), Late Kantaben (Late Kantilal), Vijyaben (Jayantilal), Late Jayaben (Late Kantilal), Late Dinker (Diptiben), Pravin (Pratibhaben), Kamlesh (Ilaben), Saila (Jitu), Mili (Mahendra).

She was Sister-in-law of Late Sureshbhai (Narmadaben), Late Sushilaben (Late Mohanbhai), Late Hasmukhbhai (Manjuben), Sarojben (Pramodbhai), Tarlaben (Late Mansukhbhai), Bhanuben (Rameshbhai), Maheshbhai – Dr. MV Shah (Chandrikaben).

She was Aunt and Grandmother to many.

The final respects will take place on Friday, 13th February 2026 from 9.00am to 10.00am at the Oshwal Centre, Ring Road, Parklands, Nairobi.

The Cortege will leave for the crematorium from Oshwal Centre, Ring Road, Parklands, Nairobi on Friday, 13th February 2026 at 10.00am and cremation will take place at the Hindu Shamshan Bhumi, Kariokor at 10.30am.

Meeting the family will be held on Friday, 13th February 2026, at Oshwal Centre, Ring Road, Parklands, Nairobi from 7.00pm to 8.00pm followed by prayers at 8.00pm.
