He was son of late Kanji Hansraj and late Induben Kanji, formerly of Kiambu
He was the son in law of late Mulji Lakhman and Zaviben Mulji (of Mombasa)
He was father to Dhruvi and Darshill
He was father in law to Sachan Benawra
He was brother to Chandrakant Kanji (U.K.), late Manoj Kanji, Malini Ajay Vadgama, Damyanti Jayantilal (U.K.), Viju Hasmukh (U.K.), Pramila Pravin (Mombasa), Kala Vasant (U.K.), Mina Dinesh (Nairobi)
He was brother in law to Madhu Chandrakant (U.K.), Simi Manoj, Late Ajay Vadgama, Keshavlal Mulji (Mombasa), Prabhulal Mulji (Mombasa) and Ramaben Mansukhlal Dharamshi (Mombasa)
