Late Kasturben Premchand Shah

We sorrowfully announce the peaceful passing of Kasturben Shah (Gosrani) on 3 October in Kingsbury, London.
Kasturben was born in Lakhabawal, India. She moved to and got married in Kenya at the age of 16. The final 51 years of her life were spent in London.
Devoted wife of the late Premchand Hansraj Shah
Beloved daughter of the late Jivibai and the late Bharmal Jivraj Gudka
Devoted daughter-in-law of the late Jamnabai and the late Hadha (Hansraj) Bhoja Gosrani
Kasturben was the last of her generation.
Much-loved sister of Jethalalbhai (Ratanben), Hemrajbhai (Permaben), Paniben (Jethalalbhai), Padmaben (Veljibhai), Gangaben (Bhagwanjibhai), Raishibhai (Monghiben), Mulchandbhai (Kasturben), Jasodaben (Juthalalbhai) and Virmatiben (Harakhchandbhai)
Respected sister-in-law of Hemrajbhai (Monghiben), Ratnaben (Narshibhai), Ramjibhai (Ratanben), Kasturben (Muljibhai), Maniben (Amritlalbhai), Motichandbhai (Sushilaben) and Shantaben
Cherished mother (mother-in-law) of Harish (the late Chandni), Jayshree (Kanti), the late Sunil and Mahendra (aka Babu)
Adored Nani to the late Nikul, Tejal and Nishul and Dadi to Rikesh
Caring aunt to 75 nieces and nephews
Her life was devoted to her family (immediate and extended), her Jain faith and her absolute love of playing Uno.
Everyone who met Kasturben knew that she never allowed anyone to leave unfed.
To honour this trait of hers, the family kindly asks for donations to a food bank.
