It is with deep regret we announce the death of Mrs. Lalitabai Keshavji Devshi Shah on Saturday, 17th January 2026 in Nairobi, Kenya.
She was Daughter of Late Devan Kara Shah (Galaiya) and Late Kasturben.
She was Wife of Late Keshavji Devshi Shamat (Sports Centre).
She was Mother of Bindi.
She was Daughter-in-Law of Late Devshi Shamat and Late Parmaben Devshi, and niece to Late Dharamshi Shamat & Muktaben, Late Dayalal Shamat & Late Jasodaben, Late Chaganlal Shamat & Late Zaviben and Late Maniben Gossar.
She was Sister & Sister-in-Law of Mukta & Late Motichand, Late Ratilal & Late Manugauri, Late Pushpa & Surendra (UK), Prabha & Shantilal, Hashwin (Vicky) & Rekha (Mina), Priya & Late Ashok, Late Kiran & Manish, Nilesh & Anupa, Jayshree & Girish (UK) and Anita & Shandeep.
She was Sister-in-Law of Late Govindji & Savita, Late Dr Zaverchand & Sumati, Mohanlal & Kanchan, Jaya & Mansukh, Sudha & Navin, Ramesh & Ranjan, Bhagi and Rekha & Mahesh.
She was Aunt of Nita & Nalin, Lina & Ketan, Sejal & Devdutt, Rima & Prasul, Samir & Sapna, Jaykumar & Ujwala, Meera & Bijal, Sona & Beju, Anjali & Tushar, Bindi & Rajiv, Kajal, Amit & Bini, Parit & Aarti, Neha & Bhavin, Suhani & Kavit, Ankit & Sharmilee, Madhavi & Bhupen and Great Aunt to all of the many Great Grandchildren of both the Devshi Shamat and the Devan Kara Parivar.
The final respects will take place on Sunday, 18th January 2026 from 1 :00pm to 2:00pm at the Oshwal Centre, Ring Road, Parklands, Nairobi.
The Cortege will leave for the crematorium from Oshwal Centre, Ring Road, Parklands, Nairobi on Sunday, 18th January 2026 at 2:00pm and cremation will take place at the Hindu Shamshan Bhumi, Kariokor at 2:30pm.
Meeting the family will be held on Sunday, 18th January 2026 at Oshwal Centre, Ring Road, Parklands, Nairobi from
7.00pm to 8.00pm followed by prayers at 8.00pm.
