Late Mr. Jivraj Makanji Shah

Mr. Jivraj Makanji Shah

Born: 15 December 1933 in Navagam, Jamnagar.

Died: 7 April 2020

With a sad heart we inform you that Mr. Jivraj Makanji Shah passed away on 7 April 2020 at 8:00pm.

Relations:

He was the son of late Makanji Bhoja Shah and the late Ratanben Shah.

He was a devoted husband to Kasturben Shah since he was 20 years old.

He proudly fathered three children; Mohanlal Shah, Yasmine Sameja and Kantilal Shah.

He was brother to Keshulal Makanji Shah, Premchand Makanji Shah, Velji Makanji Shah and Amrat Raishi Vaja.

He touched many lives, so many that no list could truly capture his reach.

Message:

Mr. Jivraj Makanji Shah was known more as Kaka, Bapuji and in his youth Jivu.

He leaves a lot of happy memories behind with his loved ones. He was smart, hard-working, caring and omni-benevolent.

He always said ‘when I go, don’t cry, don’t do a Sadri’. Just have a simple funeral and say your goodbyes. Coincidence, that he choose a lockdown during a pandemic as his final stand.

The last thing we want to leave you with is one of the lessons Bapuji taught us.

He would always say if something breaks it’ll get fixed or you’ll get a new one. Well today he has left a lot of people heart broken. We probably won’t get a new one but we trust his words that our hearts will be whole again.

We don’t know exactly what happens when we die. What we do know is that the people who care about us will miss us. From the number of calls and messages Kaka’s family has had. We know a lot of people cared about him.

We thank you for your messages.

Ceremony:

We are in the process of arranging the funeral but due to the pandemic only 10 close family members are allowed to attend. We aim to live stream the funeral so that everyone can pay their respects. These details will be released once we know more.
