Late Praful Hemraj Shah

26 February 1945 – 2 June 2026

We announce with deep sadness the death of Mr Praful Hemraj Shah (formally of Kitchen Pride Ltd) on Tuesday 2 June 2026 in Nairobi, Kenya at the age of 81 years after a short illness.

He was the devoted husband of Saroj Praful Shah.

He was the son of Late Hemraj Lakhamshi Shah and Late Amratben Hemraj Shah.

He was the son-in-law of Late Ramji Punja Shah and Late Zaviben Ramji Shah (Kitale).

He was the loving father and father-in-law to Shrikesh & Kalpana Shah (UK), Hema & Nishil Khimasia (UK) and Pallvee & Parus Shah (UK). He was the beloved grandfather of Siyona, Samara, Krish, Sia, Sierra and Lara.

He was the brother and brother-in-law of Usha & Fulchand (Capitol Printers), Bharat & Dimple Shah (Australia), Jaya & Jayantilal (Lex Ltd), Late Usha & Shantilal (UK), Late Manju & Narendra (Silpack), Meena & Kanti (UK), Hansa & Late Nayan (Hong Kong), Bhiku & Talika (Kitale) and Bakul & Samixa (UK).

The final respects will take place on Saturday, 6 June 2026 from 1-2pm at Oshwal Centre, Ring Road Parklands, Nairobi.

The Cortege will then leave for the crematorium on Saturday, 6 June 2026 at 2pm from Oshwal Centre, Ring Road Parklands, Nairobi and the cremation will take place at the Hindu Shamshan Bhumi, Kariokor at 2:30pm.

Meeting the family will be on the same day from 7:00pm – 8:00pm at at Oshwal Centre, Ring Road Parklands, Nairobi, followed by prayers at 8:00pm.

Praful was much loved and will be deeply missed by all his family and friends. We pray that his soul finds eternal peace in moksha very soon. We will all miss you and your love and will remember you in our hearts forever.
