Late Premchand Lakhamshi Meghji Dodhia

Born in Makindi (near Thika), Kenya on 7 July 1928

Passed away in London on 1 November 2019, aged 91

Premchandbhai resided in Thika (Maxim Printing Works) for most of his life, a short time in Nairobi and finally in Bushey (Hertfordshire, UK).

Premchandbhai’s parents were Late Ratanben and Late Lakhamshi Meghji Parbat Mura.

His grandfather, Meghji, was from Changa, India, and was one of five brothers (fondly known as Panch Bhaiya of the Dodhia family of Changa) and 2 sisters.

Premchandbhai was married to Ansuyaben, daughter of Late Paniben and Late Khimji Devji Sumaria of Khirasra and Mombasa.

He was father to Kirtida (Girish) and Mahilesh (Raxa), and was loving grandfather to Neeha (Sandeep), Late Deep, Radha and Anooj (Chandni).

Premchandbhai was the eldest of seven siblings: Maganlal (Induben), Jentilal (Vilasben), Kantaben (Kantibhai), Prabhulal (Late Dinumati), Late Dhirajlal (Manugauri) and Dinesh (Illaben).

Ansuyaben was the fourth of seven siblings: Late Maniben (Late Dharamshi Virpar Gudka), Late Hemkuvarben (Late Ramji Meghji Gudka), Late Jayantilal (Chandanben), Champaben (Kanti Premchand Mepa), Late Chimanlal (Minaxiben) and Ramnik (Kanchanben).
