What is dementia?
It is a broad umbrella term that describes an illness that results in progressive decline in someone’s mental ability. Symptoms of dementia may include: memory loss, changes in behaviour and personality, problems with reasoning and communication skills, and a reduced ability to carry out daily activities, such as washing and dressing.
