The main cause of cardiovascular disease is atherosclerosis, which is when plaque builds up in the arteries.
With cardiovascular disease being the biggest killer in the world, it’s important to know its causes, the risk factors for cardiovascular disease and what you can do to decrease your risk.
Professor Sir Nilesh Samani is medical director of British Heart Foundation and will share advice on heart health and care. Professor Hormis from Rotherham NHS Trust will demonstrate and teach us basic CPR. There will be a story from the community and lots of tips on looking after your heart.
