We launch our health webinar series with the challenging subject of Mental Health. Our high-profile professional panel will be joined by two people from the community who have at first hand experienced the impact of suicide. Please join us to help talk about and breaking down the taboos about Mental Health.
We will be joined by Dr Amar Shah, Consultant forensic psychiatrist and Nishita Shah, Psychotherapist. Joining them will be two people from the Oshwal community, talking about the impact of suicide on them and their family
Dr Amar Shah, Consultant forensic psychiatrist is also the national improvement lead for mental health at the Royal College of Psychiatrists, leading a number of large-scale improvement collaboratives on the topics of suicide prevention, restrictive practice and sexual safety. Amar is also chair of the quality improvement faculty at the Royal College of Psychiatrists. He will share his experience and talk about how to manage our Mental Health.
Nishita Shah, is a registered psychotherapist and specialises in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy with over 10 years of experience working with vulnerable adults in the field of mental health both in clinical and forensic settings. She is an accredited facilitator with experience conducting groups for stress management, mindfulness and for those with long term conditions and has extensive knowledge and experience working with adults experiencing depression and anxiety disorders – she will share tips about how to manage anxiety.
