Oshwal Stars Inspiration Awards 2020
Welcome to an online talent show like no other in Oshwal history!
During the coronavirus lockdown, to keep all our spirits up, we are organising an online talent show. The idea is very simple, to allow Oshwals to do a short online performance of any family friendly talent ability. For example, dancing, singing, play musical instrument, juggling, doing magic tricks, stand-up comedy, showing art work they have done, reciting poetry etc.

Audience registration
To watch the under 12 and 13 to 17 age categories performances and/or to take part in the audience vote, you MUST be an OAUK member and join via Zoom. Once you have registered you will receiving joining details one day before the session.

Please read the following terms and conditions before registering as a participant.
There will be three age categories: under 12, 13 to 17 and 18+.
The performance sessions will be open to Oshwal members ONLY. You must provide your OAUK membership number at registration or if under 16 years, one of your parents or guardian must provide their OAUK membership number.
All performances will be of max 10 minutes in the initial rounds and max 15 minutes in the Grand Final.
All performances MUST be done by one person. If you would like to do a joint performance with member of same household, please contact us.
The performance should be done live at one location, at your home or in your garden, unless the talent is presentation of artwork like paintings which would have been done ahead of the session. All work must be performer’s own work, e.g. no lip-synching.
Performances can be in English, Gujarati or Hindi.
Performances by first two age categories, under 12 and 13 to 17 years, will be done via third-party video conference facility, Zoom. By registering, parent or legal guardian of performers in this age category must give consent for performers to take part and be recorded via Zoom and to be performing on an online internet platform with an online audience.
Performances by 18+ years age category will be done via third-party video conference facility, Zoom, AND live streaming facility, YouTube. By registering the performer is giving consent to be recorded via Zoom and YouTube.
Absolutely no profanity or insensitive subject matter will be permitted. We have a zero tolerance on this matter. A breach of this rule will mean performers will be barred for further participation.
Event organisers reserve the right to screen some or all performances beforehand for appropriateness. Registration does not guarantee a performance place. Event organiser reserve the right to limit number of entries per age category.
Any costumes used in performance must be appropriate for all age groups. Remember this is a family friendly community event. Performers are responsible for their own props and costumes.
All performances are done so voluntary. No fees or royalties will be paid or any nature for performances.
Each age category will have 1st, 2nd and 3rd place as well as an overall Grand Winner across all age categories. Some performances may be open to votes by audience, but any result from audience vote will only be used as a guide by the judges and event organisers. To take part in the audience vote, you MUST be an OAUK member and join via Zoom. Results of audience vote may not be the same as results of the judges and event organisers.
The event organisers are reliant on online internet connectivity via third-party providers, and may disruption to internet connectivity may arise leading to performance sessions being halted, rescheduled or cancelled.
The event organisers reserve the right to amend or update these terms and conditions at any time.
In all cases, decisions of the judges and event organiser are FINAL and will not be open to discussion.
