Diwali is the most appropriate time to seek blessings of Goddess Laxmi and Maa Sharda (Goddess Saraswati) for a peaceful, prosperous and profitable year. On this day we perform Puja of our Account books and start writing new accounts. This is known as “Chopda Pujan” or “Sharda Pujan” or “Muharat Pujan”.  

Chopda Pujan is a day for everyone not only to reconcile one’s financial books but also the spiritual books.

Let us all pray to God to seek forgiveness  for all the mistakes this past year and to give the wisdom and strength to not make them the next year.
